Cranes on Six Continents — One Service Stack.

From Midwest steel bays to Southeast Asian precast yards, from Middle East port gantries to European power-plant tandem lifts — find a Demag reference worksite near yours.

Regional Lift Programs, Shared Engineering Discipline

Export dealers and overseas EPC desks need more than a glossy country list. Demag publishes regional references with the same SWL, duty-group and parts-hub data your local supervisor will use on Monday morning. Select a region to see representative industrial crane, bridge crane and port applications already commissioned under Demag field packages.

Americas

Midwest steel-mill overhead fleets, Gulf Coast process-skid tandem lifts, Andean copper plant bay cranes and Brazilian iron-ore yard gantries. Parts hubs stock demag industrial cranes consumables with priority overnight lanes into the US and Canada.

  • Steel bay double-girder packages up to 125 t SWL
  • Port RTG modernization with electric drive retrofits
  • Precast yard crawler support for segmental highway bridges

Europe

Low-noise indoor overhead upgrades for urban fabrication halls, nuclear and combined-cycle power-plant turbine lifts, and high-speed rail precast yards that demand documented AS 2550 / EN lifting plans.

  • Electric overhead crane replacements reducing diesel bay hours
  • Synchronized dual-hoist process lifts with encoder logging
  • Operator training seats aligned to FEM duty groups

Middle East & Africa

Metro tunnel segment yards, phosphate and aggregate stockpile gantries, and desert highway corridor crawler packages with heat-rated hoist motors and extended wire-rope inspection cycles.

  • High ambient temperature hoist packages
  • Desert dust sealing for trolley electrics
  • Regional FSE coverage from Dubai and Johannesburg hubs

South & Southeast Asia

Metro and coastal port projects, monsoon-season bridge lifts, and dense fabrication bays where demag bridge crane span standardization cuts spare-parts complexity across multi-site contractors.

  • Monsoon wind cut-out protocols on tower and crawler fleets
  • Coastal corrosion packages for port gantries
  • Jakarta hub stocking demag hoist parts for short MTTR

Asia Pacific

Pilbara-adjacent heavy lift yards, Yangshan-style port handling, and Australian mining-construction overlap sites where electric overhead and diesel mobile fleets coexist under one Demag service stack.

  • Heavy-lift tandem packages for modules above 200 t
  • Remote telemetry for overload and anti-two-block events
  • APAC training seats for lifting supervisors

Method Trade-off: Electric Overhead Crane vs Diesel Mobile Crane

Plant buyers and EPC estimators still debate fixed electric overhead systems against diesel mobile cranes for the same bay or yard. Demag documents both sides so the lift plan matches duty hours, emissions rules and travel distance — not a slogan.

Electric overhead / bridge crane

  • Lower energy cost per lift-hour indoors; no bay exhaust plume
  • Stable SWL along the runway when span and FEM duty group are sized correctly
  • Limitation: runway and building steel must exist; relocating a bay is capital-heavy

Diesel mobile / crawler crane

  • Moves between pads without a fixed runway; useful for segmental outdoor lifts
  • Faster mobilization when foundation steel is not ready
  • Limitation: fuel, noise and wind cut-out windows raise operating cost; indoor use often fails air-quality rules

Selection factors we log before quoting: annual lift hours, max SWL at radius, indoor air permit, ground bearing pressure (kPa), and whether AS 2550 / ASME B30 re-cert must travel with the machine.
